Making room for artistic renewal together
Ammodo has been connected to ITA since 2013. What began with support for Festival Brandhaarden grew into a long-term collaboration centred on artistic development, international exchange and innovative theatre. Since 2020 this collaboration has been anchored in a production partnership.
Together we make room for remarkable theatre-makers, new stories and international collaboration. In that way productions can come about that reach audiences in Amsterdam and far beyond.
A contribution to ITA's international ambition
ITA brings together creative-makers, companies and ideas from all over the world. Thanks to Ammodo's support we can go on investing in new productions, international co-productions and artistic renewal.
Over the years, Ammodo has made international presentations possible, at the Ruhrtriennale in Germany among other places, and contributed to bringing internationally renowned makers and artists to Amsterdam.
Partner in new productions
Since 2020, Ammodo has supported new ITA Productions and international co-productions every year. In doing so the organisation contributes to productions that explore artistic boundaries and open up new perspectives.
Within the partnership, productions such as Giovanni's Room, Julie, Penthesilea, A Little Life, The Laws and The Wall have been supported in recent years. Ammodo's support has also made various international co-productions and guest productions possible.

Theatre can make us look differently at ourselves, at one another and at the world around us. That is why it is important that theatre-makers are given the freedom to tell new stories and take artistic risks.
With Ammodo's support, ITA can go on investing in productions that push boundaries, bring different perspectives together and put a wide audience in touch with theatre of international quality.
The collaboration between Ammodo and ITA is built on a shared conviction: that art and culture are indispensable to an open, curious and resilient society. Together we go on creating space for artistic development, international exchange and new generations of theatre-makers.
