Some 200 colleagues work at ITA, in front of house and behind the scenes. At Stadsschouwburg Amsterdam we produce and present theatre that matters, that speaks to the imagination and makes you look at the world differently. We think it is important that as many people as possible feel at home here.  

At Stadsschouwburg Amsterdam, makers, technicians, actors, programmers, box office staff, production staff and many more colleagues from all kinds of disciplines work together on productions, tours, the visitor experience and the care of our monumental building.

ITA is at home in Stadsschouwburg Amsterdam. A place for curious people. For everyone who wants to contribute to innovative theatre, to a programme that is urgent and artistically leading, and to a building where everyone feels welcome. With two large auditoriums, an international theatre company and the dynamic programming of the Stadsschouwburg, we have everything we need to think big and to realise extraordinary ambitions step by step.

An organisation in motion

It is an inspiring time to work at ITA: we are writing our new artistic vision, strengthening our artistic position and looking for colleagues who want to help shape it, contribute ideas and take part. Internships

The professional development of our collegues is no side issue, but as part of our artistic heart. That development often begins with an internship. At ITA you're not left watching from the sidelines. You work within a living, international house, alongside experienced colleagues who share their profession with you. Whether you are working on a production, as a programmer, on stage technology, marketing or guest services: you are given the room to learn, to make mistakes and to discover your own voice. That is how talent grows. And we grow with you.
