Your journey to Stadsschouwburg Amsterdam
Stadsschouwburg Amsterdam stands in the middle of the Leidseplein, in the heart of the city. Because the theatre is in the low-traffic city centre, we recommend coming to your show by public transport or by bike.

By public transport
Stadsschouwburg Amsterdam is very easy to reach by public transport. Several tram and bus routes stop right on the Leidseplein. Vijzelgracht metro station is about ten minutes' walk from the theatre.
By bike
Coming by bike? You can use the underground bicycle parking facility at Kleine-Gartmanplantsoen 31, right next to Leidseplein. Your bike will be parked under cover and supervised.
Prefer to park on the street? Please use the designated bicycle parking areas around Leidseplein. Bicycles parked outside these areas are regularly removed by the municipality.
By taxi
Travelling by taxi? About one minute's walk from Stadsschouwburg Amsterdam you will find a taxi rank at the Leidsebrug.
By car
Stadsschouwburg Amsterdam is located in the city centre, where traffic can be busy and parking is limited, especially around Leidseplein. Please allow extra travel time.
Travelling from outside Amsterdam? A P+R location on the edge of the city is often the most affordable option. You can park your car there and continue your journey to the city centre by public transport.
We recommend travelling to the city centre by public transport or by bike whenever possible. If you do come by car, you can take advantage of our parking arrangement with Q-Park Europarking. The car park is approximately a ten-minute walk from Stadsschouwburg Amsterdam.
