ITA Music

"Where can I listen to the music from your productions?" For years, the answer to that question was: nowhere. The music was written for one production, heard in that moment, on that night, in that theatre. And it was gone as soon as the lights came up.

Until now! With ITA Music, we're releasing our most requested songs. For those who saw the show and want to hear the music again. And for those who don't know us yet, but do know our sound.

ITA Music is a broad collaboration. The label releases music by artists who created music here, in-house, for our productions. Think of the ominous score Sandro Tajouri composed for Prophet Song. And of course the music Thijs van Vuure wrote for productions such as Giovanni's Room, De Wetten and Penthesilea.

ITA Music started in 2026 as an ITA innovation project. Every year, ITA staff can apply for a development budget for projects that explore, renew and innovate. The project team gets time, space and budget to develop a new initiative. This is how we encourage both organisational development and personal growth.

For ITA Music, we thank the core project team: Loesje Riethof, Evelien ter Ellen and Thijs van Vuure. A huge and very musical thank-you goes to our release partner HAYP Music, and to Alvin Lewis in particular, for his advice, enthusiasm and conviction.

And a standing ovation for all our ITA colleagues and the music lovers who helped make this first release happen.
