Bart Kreeft was a man of many talents. As well as an actor and scenery painter, he was known above all as an opera and operetta singer. He worked with Jos Orelio and Cato van Engelen-Sewing, both of whom are portrayed in the theatre, in his own companies among other places. This portrait was presented in 1932 at a ceremony the elderly artist was unable to attend.
