Two works of the actor Jan Musch are held in the portrait gallery: a self-portrait near the Koninklijke Foyer and a cast by Henk Henriët, the sculptor who was murdered at Neuengamme at the end of the Second World War for his resistance work. Jan Musch was one of the actors who did not work during the war, because he refused to sign up to the Kulturkammer. Afterwards he performed only occasionally and received many tributes.
