This portrait was donated in 1906, one of the first to be hung on the walls of the still empty theatre. It was painted by Gerardus van Hove and shows Theo Majofski. Majofski had a Polish-Lithuanian father and was the founder of a theatrical dynasty. There are two portraits of his daughter Koosje, and his granddaughter Christine Stoetz and great-granddaughter Marie van Westerhoven also hang on these walls. Majofski was known for his comic roles and worked with his brother-in-law Andries Snoek and with Johanna Ziesenis-Wattier at the Amsterdam Stadsschouwburg.
