Around the turn of the century and in the early nineteenth century, Wilhelmina van der Lugt Melsert was an actor with a long and distinguished record. She was the sister of the director Cor van der Lugt Melsert and married the director Adriaan van der Horst, who also appears in the portrait gallery. Louis Goudman portrayed her in 1926 in the role of Raimunda, from De Passiebloem by J. Benavente. After her death in 1928 she was honoured with a funeral service at the Stadsschouwburg, after which she was buried at Zorgvlied.
