In Meiden & Prinsen, stories from De Meisjes by Annet Schaap are brought to life again in a main-stage production by Het Filiaal theatermakers. Don Duyns's adaptation brings together a world full of recognisable fairy-tale figures and contemporary longings. Girls, princes, animals and parents collide in stories in which nothing runs as smoothly as it appears to in fairy tales. Behind the fantasy lies a reality in which expectations, power and desire are constantly shifting.
