Mina Salehpour

Mina Salehpour (1985) was born in Tehran, Iran. In 1994 she emigrated to Germany with her parents. She has created productions for internationally renowned theatres such as Schauspiel Hannover, Schaubühne Berlin, Det Norske Theatret Oslo and Trøndelag Teater Trondheim, and currently works with Dramaten Stockholm and the Burgtheater in Vienna. Mina Salehpour's personal experiences strongly inform her work, in which she focuses on identity and the complexity of cultural and social diversity. Her visually powerful productions show a great sensitivity to human stories, often in the context of intercultural tensions, social injustice and the search for meaning in a complex society.

In the 2026/27 season her production of Prophet Song, based on the novel by Paul Lynch, returns to the stage. The production was selected for the Nederlands Theater Festival 2026.
