The program blends classics by Hans van Manen, Eric Gauthier, and Sir Kenneth MacMillan with four world premieres from rising choreographers Zoë Greten, Luca Abdel-Nour, Rutkay Özpinar, and Ernst Meisner. Contemporary dance, hip-hop, Turkish influences, and classical technique collide in a vibrant, versatile, and daring performance. MacMillan’s second movement of Concerto showcases the dancers’ serene, technical precision alongside the raw, urgent energy of the new works.
Humor and playfulness take center stage in Eric Gauthier’s Ballet 102, the cheeky follow-up to his hilarious Ballet 101, a wild crash course in ballet. The evening culminates with Hans van Manen’s In the Future, a masterful finale where color, bodies, humor, and sheer craftsmanship collide. Ballet like you’ve never seen it before: fresh, immediate, and irresistible.
