This edition of Hip-Hop is Heritage is hosted by hip-hop feminist Kim Dankoor and curated by the Foundation Amsterdam Hip Hop Center, in collaboration with ITA and Representing Europe.

Five women, four disciplines, decades of resilience. Zulu Green, rap pioneer MC Melodee, dancer-DJ-choreographer Nedda Sou, HipHopHuis director and b-girl Aruna Vermeulen, and graffiti legend Mick La Rock come together to discuss the barriers women in hip-hop culture have faced and continue to face. Across dance, DJ culture, graffiti, and rap, they explore what it means to survive in a scene that is for you, but was not built for you, and how those power dynamics are shifting today.
