La Espina ... is a poetic and intimate journey through her own flamenco history. Cheerful and sometimes painful flamenco outpourings from one of the most important contemporary flamenco dance makers.
“Olga Pericet is a new free poem in modern flamenco dance,” wrote the Spanish press. Like no other she knows how to speak with her 'bata de cola'. This huge, long train that was 'out of fashion' for a long time in the flamenco dance made its comeback thanks to innovators such as Pericet, who use it to give a phenomenal dramatic expression to the tradition. With equal expressiveness, Pericet employs the 'mantón', the graceful shawl, that gets a whole new lease of life in her hands.
