Silenzio
In SILENZIO, idiosyncratic dance, the intense power of the cello and evocative imagery merge into an integral, overwhelming physical experience. LeineRoebana delves into the motivations of Joseph Beuys, one of the most successful artists of the 20th century, who had a unique view of the relationship between man and nature.

SILENZIO
One of Beuys' well-known works is 'Wie man dem toten Hasen die Bilder erklärt' (1965). For Beuys, people and nature form an indivisible whole. The artist has the role of "magic priest" who must restore the lost bond between man and nature in order to prevent an ecological disaster.
Beuys stated: “Life is art and art is life”. How do we look today at the means Beuys used for the fluid transition between art and life, at the unparalleled power of his visual language? After the felt-covered cello he made for “the naked cellist” Charlotte Moorman? -|- Together with the six dancers of LeineRoebana and the young, award-winning cellists Lidy Blijdorp and Ketevan Roinishvili, choreographers Leine and Roebana recalibrate Beuys' world of thinking and his iconic visual language in a disruptive, passionate and visual performance that brings every dead hare to life.
