Online

Via this website you can purchase tickets online by clicking on 'ORDER TICKETS' on the page of the desired performance, selecting a date of your choice and then clicking on 'BUY TICKETS'.

To pay you must log in with an ITA account. After payment via iDEAL or credit card, you can print your tickets for free or have them delivered by post for € 3,50 handling fee.

Order tickets

By telephone

You can order tickets by telephone (+31 (0)20 624 23 11) from Monday to Saturday from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm. A € 3,50 handling fee is charged per order (regardless of the amount of tickets).

The tickets will be sent to you by e-mail or by mail up to a week before the start of the performance.

At the box office

Our box office staff will be happy to help you from Monday to Saturday between 01:00 pm and 6:00 pm, or an hour and a half before the start of any performance.

You can pay with your debit card, credit card (Visa / Mastercard and American Express) or a 'Podiumcadeau' voucher.

We do not accept a National Musical voucher, VVV voucher or Iris check.

Exchange tickets

There is no refund of tickets, even in case of late arrival, loss, theft or lack of use. For the exchange of tickets (regardless of the amount) € 5 will be charged.

Reserved tickets must be collected within a week. If you reserve tickets during the week before the performance, you must collect your tickets 45 minutes before the start of the performance. Reservations that are collected too late will go back to the ticket sales.

Starting times

Start times are strictly applied. Latecomers will not be admitted into the theatre. In case of performances with an intermission, latecomers may be admitted after the intermission.

Waiting list

Sequence numbers for the waiting list are available at the box office from one hour before the start of the performance. All tickets that have not been picked up are sold from 15 minutes before the start in the order of the waiting list.

Variable prices

In ITA 'from' prices are used. The fewer seats available, the higher the price. Those who arrive early, therefore, always buy tickets at the most advantageous rate (and can choose the best places).

ITA Vouchers

ITA has three vouchers that can be used as payment for tickets for all events in INTERNATIONAAL THEATER AMSTERDAM:

  • ITA Gift Voucher (valid for 3 years)
  • ITA Credit Voucher (valid for 1 year)
  • ITA Enjoy Later Voucher (end date July 31, 2024)

Once you have found your tickets on www.ita.nl/en and navigated to "Payment", you can choose to use a Voucher as a method of payment. You will be asked to enter the number and PIN code of the ITA Voucher. The balance on the Voucher will be deducted from the amount of your order.

If you buy tickets for a higher value than the Voucher, you can pay the remaining amount with a payment method of your choice. If you purchase tickets for a lower value than the Voucher, the remaining amount will remain on your Voucher and can be used for future purchases.

The value of the Voucher is not exchangeable for cash.

How and where can I book tickets?

Where can I find my account or My ITA?

Go to the shopping cart in the top right corner and click on LOG IN or go to Menu and click on My ITA.


ITA has a new ticketing system since August 9, 2022 that allows us to serve you even better Did you already have a My ITA-account? Then you will have to reset your password. This can be done simply by clicking on Forgot your password? Your username is your email address.

And now that you are in your account, you can immediately check your data and adjust your contact preferences.

I can’t remember if I have an account, what should I do?

If you can't remember if you have an account or not, click on Forgot your password? and fill in your email address. If your email address is not recognized, you do not have an account yet.

I have not printed my ticket(s). Can I show my ticket(s) on my mobile phone?

Yes, that's no problem. We will scan your ticket(s) from your mobile phone upon entry.

I have lost my tickets, what should I do?

If you ordered your tickets online or by phone, you can always find them in your ITA account. If you ordered the tickets without an account at the box office, the box office can print new tickets for you. This costs €2.

I cannot go to the show, can I return or exchange my tickets?

You may exchange the tickets for a different date, a different performance or for an ITA Credit Voucher. This is possible until the day before the show. For this you can contact our box office at +31 (0)20 624 23 11.

We charge € 5 for exchanging tickets.

I have an ITA Credit Voucher, how can I redeem it?

Once you have found your tickets on www.ita.nl/en and navigated to "Payment", you can choose to use an ITA Credit Voucher as a method of payment. You will be asked to enter the number and PIN code of the ITA Credit Voucher. The balance on the ITA Credit Voucher will be deducted from the amount of your order.

If you buy tickets for a higher value than the ITA Credit Voucher, you can pay the remaining amount with a payment method of your choice. If you purchase tickets for a lower value than the ITA Credit Voucher, the remaining amount will remain on your ITA Credit Voucher and can be used for future purchases.

The ITA Credit Voucher can be used as payment for tickets for all events at INTERNATIONAAL THEATER AMSTERDAM. The value of the ITA Credit Voucher is not exchangeable for cash. The expiry date on the ITA Credit Voucher is binding. After the date, the voucher can no longer be used to purchase tickets. However it can be used before that date to purchase tickets for future shows.

Can I pay with the 'Podiumcadeaukaart'?

Yes, we accept the 'Podiumcadeaukaart' as payment at the checkout. You can also redeem this by telephone, provided you have the card with you and know the balance.

When will the ticket amount be debited from my credit card?

When you pay with your credit card, the ticket amount is immediately debited.
