Hans Kesting

Hans Kesting (1960) was a member of the ITA Ensemble from 1987 to 2025.

In the 2026/27 season Kesting appears in the revival of Angels in America.

CV

Kesting received the Louis d'Or in 2008 for his role as Roy Cohn in Angels in America, and again in 2016 for his Richard III in Kings of war. He was nominated for the same award for his roles in Who Killed My Father, Crusades and Roman tragedies. In June 2015 Kesting received the prestigious Van Dalsumring from Gijs Scholten van Aschat, and in 2020 he was made a Knight of the Order of the Netherlands Lion.

Alongside his work at ITA, Kesting has appeared in films including Vincent and Theo (Robert Altman, 1989), Karakter (Mike van Diem; Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film, 1998), Code Blue (Urszula Antoniak, 2010), Amsterdam (Ivo van Hove, 2009) and Do not disturb (Jude Law, 2018).
