Five performers crawl out of a massive waste pile and enter a world where everything is disposable. Objects, relationships and even identities are thrown away and replaced. In Waste Me they become the waste they live in, trapped in a cycle of consumption and repetition.

Waste Me is a physical commentary on the excesses of consumer society. Through repetitive movement, herd behaviour and visceral imagery, Cecilia Moisio and her performers explore a world where consumption shapes not only what we own, but also how we think, love and relate to each other. The performance asks whether we are still in control, or already part of the system we created ourselves.
Between utopia and collapse, the performers search for release from a self-made prison of accumulation and replacement. What remains when everything, including people, becomes disposable?

About the maker
Cecilia Moisio is a choreographer and director known for her interdisciplinary and socially engaged work. Her performances often combine dance, text and visual art to expose the darker sides of contemporary society, focusing on themes such as identity, control and consumption.
