Alice, who's usually very confident, finds herself lost among seas of tears and rose gardens. One moment she’s tiny, the next she’s towering. No matter how sure she thinks she is, she can’t keep up with the panicked rabbit, the disapproving caterpillar, and the headless cat. To make matters worse, there’s an intrusive alter-ego that challenges and contradicts her until Alice is completely dizzy. The further she goes, the less she understands herself. Is she still the real Alice? Does she even exist? In a dazzling journey through a bizarre world, Alice searches for her own rhythm.

Family show of the year
Following the smash hit Giselle (hailed by Het Parool as the family show of 2024) and The Hot Peaches, Toneelmakerij and DOX are joining forces once again. This time in a dreamlike coming-of-age story about letting go of what you already know, finding your voice, and the power of not knowing. Or as the Mad Hatter says: We’re all mad here! Let yourself be enchanted by this contemporary children’s play: relatable, funny, and... irresistibly magical.
Wonderland Experience
Come along to the Wonderland Experience from 9 to 11 October and from 23 to 28 December; a wondrous, theatrical and lively treasure hunt to set the scene for the show.
Follow the White Rabbit’s trail and take the lift to Wonderland. Wind your way back along twisting red-velvet paths through a forest of questions and tasks that are all about… you!? Don’t worry. With the help of marvellous characters, you’ll be able to overcome all of Wonderland’s trials. Finally, you’ll settle into your seat just in time and fully prepared to watch the performance.
The Wonderland Experience is free for everyone to enjoy at The Bookshop, from 1½ hours before the start of the performance. The treasure hunt takes about 20 minutes.
