Battlefield of Dreams
When did you first think about having or not having children? How many times did you have (unwanted) conversations about it? How many times did you change your mind? A desire to have children. No desire to have children. And then what?

Battlefield of Dreams
Joy, disappointment, shame, relief, excitement, sadness - sometimes all at once. Battlefield of Dreams explores the broad spectrum of experiences surrounding this existential question. From abortions to fertility trials and IVF, or simply the questions: do I want a child? Would I be able to have a child? And how would I shape parenthood? At some point, we all come up against these questions.

In Battlefield of Dreams, we bring together a collection of intimate stories and experiences. It is a documentary, opera, talk show and theater performance all in one. Through the eyes of a diverse group of performers - women, men and nonbinary individuals of different ages and backgrounds - we give voice to the often invisible and unheard stories surrounding the topic of reproduction. In doing so, we explore one of the most intimate and universal issues of our time.
