Introdans kicks off the newseason with a programme that’s all about heroes. Everyone seems to be a hero on social media these days. But who are our real heroes? In this programme, Introdans focuses on this theme in a number of high-energy and enthralling choreographies by three choreographers and a choreographer duo, each with their own very individual, unique voice.

HEROES
Introdans opens the 2024/2025 season with a program entirely about heroes. On social media, everyone seems to be a hero these days. But who are our real heroes? Artistic director Roel Voorintholt has great admiration for dancers and choreographers who devote their entire lives to the art of dance. He has programmed four energetic and compelling ballets around the theme of heroes in HEROES as a tribute to these makers and performers. From the Dutch, but especially from the beyond our borders successful Regina van Berkel we dance for the first time the virtuoso Daily Hero, which is extended especially for Introdans with a dazzling finale. This is followed by a choreographic gem we acquired in 2023: SH-BOOM!, with which another work by top choreographer duo Sol León and Paul Lightfoot can be seen on Dutch stages.

Inbal Pinto signs with the Dutch premiere of the refined, melancholic Boulevard of Broken Dreams for the third work in HEROES, and heroes are certainly also the special guest dancers who can be seen in a new edition of Iungo - De Ontmoeting 2024 by Introdans choreographer Adriaan Luteijn.
