For ITA, Icke made a Dutch-language remake of his highly praised production The Doctor, which he created in 2019 for the Almeida Theatre in London. The production marked another successful collaboration between the British director and ITA, following earlier productions such as Oedipus and Kinderen van Nora.
 
The production was selected for the Nederlands Theater Festival 2022 as one of the twelve most impressive productions of the season. The jury praised the way Icke connects philosophical, social and ethical dilemmas to a compelling personal drama. Actors Janni Goslinga and Ilke Paddenburg were nominated for the Theo d’Or and the Colombina respectively. For her portrayal of Ruth Wolff, Janni Goslinga also received the Mary Dresselhuys Prize.
