After Eind van het begin van het einde (2020) and Een leuk avondje uit (2022), this is the third production that Theater Artemis, Het Zuidelijk Toneel, and hetpaleis have produced together. This time, a performance about very little. So little, that even the words for a title were nearly gone. Luckily, there was one left: "De" (The). Hopefully, that's just enough.

How do you handle having almost nothing when you're used to having a lot? In this new family performance by Jetse Batelaan, you see people who have never really had to miss anything, slowly losing everything. As if something or someone wants to teach them a lesson.
Because why else would the car seat heating suddenly break? And when did that nice brand of shower gel disappear from the shelves? Isn't it strange that even the swimming pool suddenly runs dry? And why does the bridge collapse right after? Does anyone else notice that burning smell? Hello?!....Hello?!! Is there anyone with a phone signal?!

De is a grand epic where the line between 'everything' and 'nothing' turns out to be surprisingly small.
