Los
Shows
LOS is a community theatre performance based on true stories told by the actors. Over a one-and-a-half-year trajectory, a group of unique people explored what freedom means to them. The result is a colourful ode to freedom: a theatrical collage with live music and a smattering of vogue, scraping along the edges of opera, quenched with hope for a better world.

An ode to freedom
where are you free
in the warming world
in Europe
in your country or in your body
in or out of the egg
with your hand down your trousers
your head in the clouds
reaching up on your toes perhaps
inside or outside
rules and laws
frameworks, cadavers, skeletons?

About LOS
LOS is the outcome of a unique collaboration between Roads, Theaterhuiskamer and Eiwerk. Three organisations that believe in the power of culture! After all, music and theatre get you out of your head and onto the floor. Making something beautiful together creates connection and structure. Imaginative and sometimes chaotic concoctions are transformed for LOS into overwhelmingly honest and disarming theatre.

FESTIVAL LIEVE STAD,
Amsterdam is a city of many faces. Lieve Stad, – a celebration of theatre, art, and dialogue – reflects the dynamics of that metropolitan environment, in which the city itself is a source of inspiration. This festival, a collaboration between ITA and Meervaart, is about bringing people together, in the city, in the theatre, in society. How do we live together and what stories do all individuals and groups carry with them?
