Driven by curiosity, ITA produces and presents boundary-pushing, urgent and deeply human productions that explore the complexity of our time. 

Our horizons extend beyond our home city of Amsterdam, because we are convinced that an international perspective makes theatre richer and more layered. We invite leading international directors and makers to create productions with our actors and in our building.  

ITA is a repertoire company. A production does not disappear after its last performance, but stays in the repertoire and returns. That is not only a sustainable model, it also keeps our rich body of work in motion. In this way ITA Productions go on reaching new audiences for years to come, and our actors grow along with the roles they play.  

ITA believes in theatre as a shared experience, as a dialogue between worlds. From Slotervaart to Watergraafsmeer, from Amsterdam to Maastricht, from London to Shanghai: ITA's work reaches far beyond our own building and reminds us that the stage remains one of the most essential places for imagination, empathy and change.
