Gaite studied acting at the Toneelacademie Maastricht and made her debut at Toneelgroep Amsterdam in 2014 as Ophelia in Hamlet vs Hamlet (director Guy Cassiers).

She played in The hidden force (director Ivo van Hove) and After the rehearsal / Persona (director Ivo van Hove).

Gaite Jansen (1991) made her debut on screen in Lover of Loser, features in the successful drama series In Therapie and movie theatre films such as Schemer and Sonny Boy. She plays the female lead in 170 Hz, Joost van Ginkel’s movie debut about two deaf teenagers who experience love together for the first time.
